NOECORA™Evidence & approach
How NOECORA approaches wellbeing
NOECORA is designed for adults aged 18 and above who want general, self-guided support for awareness, reflection, and manageable next steps. It is not designed or reviewed as a child or adolescent mental-health service.
What informs the approach
NOECORA draws on established self-help principles while keeping its role deliberately limited. It is a wellbeing companion, not a clinical programme.
Independent product. NOECORA is developed by NIVIVIN Labs™. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, certified by, or reviewed by the World Health Organization (WHO). The WHO resources below are cited as public reference points for principles relevant to self-guided wellbeing; NOECORA is not a WHO intervention.
Grounding, orientation, and making room for difficult experience
Informed by the World Health Organization's Doing What Matters in Times of Stress, which includes grounding, unhooking from difficult thoughts, acting on values, making room for emotions, and engaging with kindness.
Structured psychological self-help
Informed by WHO's 2026 manual on psychological self-help interventions. NOECORA does not present itself as one of the WHO interventions described in that manual.
Implementation, adaptation, and evaluation
Informed by WHO's Psychological interventions implementation manual, particularly its emphasis on context, adaptation, preparation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
Design principles
- Start with orientation, agency, and one manageable next step rather than forcing calm.
- Use invitations, stop and skip options, and language that allows for disability, culture, finances, relationships, care duties, and other real conditions.
- Keep emotional support separate from medical, emergency, legal, financial, housing, and safeguarding needs.
- Avoid diagnosis, risk scores, treatment claims, forced positivity, blame, and promises that an exercise will work.
Thought tool
The thought tool looks for a limited set of common English-language patterns and offers one possible balanced perspective. It cannot determine whether a thought is true, diagnose a thinking style, understand every context, or assess risk. Use it for interpretations and predictions, not to talk yourself out of something that may be real. Do not use this exercise for thoughts of dying, suicide, or self-harm, risk of harming someone else, or immediate danger. For abuse, discrimination, medical symptoms, or legal or financial problems, skip reframing and use the kind of human, professional, practical, or emergency support the situation calls for.
Evidence boundary
Evidence for a psychological principle or self-help intervention does not establish that NOECORA itself is clinically effective. NOECORA has not been presented as a diagnosis, treatment, psychotherapy service, or substitute for professional care. Independent clinical-content review, lived-experience usability review, and formal accessibility assessment remain distinct from the public evidence sources above.
When another kind of help is needed
A self-guided exercise is not the right tool for every situation. If safety, physical health, abuse, discrimination, housing, legal, financial, or another real-world concern needs attention, start with what you can observe or verify and use appropriate human, professional, practical, or emergency support.
