NOECORA™

Safety

Human help comes first when safety is at risk

NOECORA is a self-guided wellbeing tool. It cannot determine whether you are safe, diagnose a condition, monitor an emergency, or contact another person for you.

If there is immediate danger

If you think you may harm yourself or someone else, or you are in immediate danger, call emergency services now or go to the nearest emergency department. In India, call 112 (Emergency Response Support System). If you can do so safely, move to a safer place, away from things you could use to cause harm, and contact a trusted person who can stay with you.

Mental health support

In India, Tele-MANAS provides 24/7 mental health support at 14416 or 1800-89-14416 (Government of India information). Outside India, use local emergency services when danger is immediate. For non-emergency support, FindAHelpline can help locate country-specific options when internet access is available.

Physical symptoms

Call emergency services for severe breathing difficulty, severe chest pain or pressure, fainting or loss of consciousness, suspected overdose, or another medical emergency. For symptoms that are new, worsening, persistent, unexplained, or otherwise concerning, seek appropriate medical advice. Do not use NOECORA to interpret symptoms, medicines, test results, or diagnoses.

If another person is making the situation unsafe

Use a safer device or place when possible and contact a person or specialist service you consider safe. Direct confrontation may not be safe in coercive or violent situations. Use emergency services if the danger is immediate.

How urgent wording is handled

Reflection and thought tools locally check a limited set of English phrases and may pause an exercise to show support options. This is a safety prompt, not a risk assessment. It can miss urgent situations or activate when it is not needed, and it does not send an alert.
